On March 21, 2025, at approximately 9:45 a.m., an employee was climbing down a tree that was approximately 10 feet tall. His feet were caught by vines, causing him to lose his balance and fall down into a 4-foot-deep storm drainage ditch below the tree. The employee was hospitalized with a fractured right humerus and a fractured rib.
The employee was elevated in the basket of an aerial lift trimming tree branches. He came down in the basket of the aerial lift and began stepping down the access ladder on the side of the truck when he slipped and fell four feet to the ground. The employee suffered back pain.
On December 7, 2021, at 5:15 p.m., an employee's right middle finger became pinched between the dump box of his truck and a toolbox, resulting in the surgical amputation of the fingertip.
A seven-employee crew was removing a 100-foot poplar tree. The crown was cut off and the employee on the tip line (which controls the direction of the tree limbs, keeping them away from power lines) was signaled to begin pulling.
