The injured employee was part of a crew that was replacing an old elevator. The injured employee and a co-worker used a drywall dolly to take the old elevator base platform to a dumpster. When they were putting the base platform in the dumpster, it slipped and pinned the injured employee s finger against the dumpster. The employee sustained a severe laceration and required surgery for a tendon in his left index finger.
