29 CFR  1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems.  On or about October 3, 2023, an employee performed metal roofing 30 feet above the lower level without fall protection. The employee was not wearing personal fall protection, there were no safety nets, and no demarcation of a CDZ.

On or about October 3, 2023, An employee performed metal roofing tasks 30 feet above the lower level without fall protection. The employee was not wearing personal fall protection, there were no safety nets, and no demarcation of a CDZ.

29 CFR  1926.761(b): The employer did not train each employee exposed to a fall hazard in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1926.761.  On or about October 3, 2023, An employee performed metal roofing work at a height of 30 feet above the ground without any fall protection measures in place or the proper training to work in a CDZ. The employee was not wearing any personal fall protection gear, and there were no safety nets or clearly marked Controlled Decking Zones (CDZs). Additionally, the employee had not received any training on CDZ compliance or the necessary fall protection measures that should be taken while working in a CDZ.
