An employee was measuring a block on a pedal-operated upcut saw equipped with a 10 or 12 inch circular blade. As he was taking a measurement, the blade contacted his left hand, resulting in amputations of three fingers.

Employees were stacking two different types of trusses in a yard. One employee was lifting one end of a truss with a forklift while another inserted a spreader block.
