An employee was attempting to remove a wedge that was under tension in the weld of a bucket when the wedge flew out and struck the employee in the face. He suffered a fractured orbital bone.
After repairing a piece of industrial equipment, an employee had brake-cleaning liquid on his gloves. A lighter ignited the liquid, and the employee's hands were severely burned.
On July 8, 2023, in the enclosure shop, an employee and two co-workers were setting a metal sheet onto the manually-operated lifting rail. As they tilted the lifting rail so that the metal sheet would move to the outside yard, the injured employee's right hand was caught between two moving parts of the lifting rail.
