An employee was installing a 550-pound blower on a generator engine. While the employee was raising the blower into position with a half-ton chain, the blower was caught between the generator and its A-frame. While being pulled loose, it swung and caught the employee's right little finger against the generator's A-frame. The employee suffered an amputation to the finger.
