Final narrative
An employee was riding a railcar to a track area. The employee fell from the railcar, suffering a broken tibia.
On September 20, 2022, at approximately 6:20 a.m., an employee climbed into a rail car to open the rail car door and assist with unloading automobiles. The employee was spotting the buck ramp (unloading ramp) operator, who was lowering the ramp to the rail car. As he was guiding the ramp, his right leg was struck by the buck ramp, resulting in a fractured tibia and fibula.
On September 24, 2020, an employee fell while riding on the bottom step of a reach stacker and was run over by the rear wheel, sustaining a crushed pelvis and left leg amputation.
The injured employee was riding on the back of a hostler truck (yard mule). The injured employee fell off the truck and was struck by the back wheels. The employee was hospitalized for a broken ankle and a blood clot in the hip area.
