Final narrative
On July 28, 2021, an employee was nailing a double 2-inch by 6-inch top plate to the top of a first floor wall. When he fired a pneumatic nail gun into the plate, the nail split the wood, went through the plate, and punctured his hand between the thumb and the index finger.
An employee was standing on trusses while installing shaftwall and metal channel. He slipped from the bottom chords of the 2x6 trusses and fell approximately 1 foot. A metal C-channel caused a severe laceration to his wrist and ulnar artery.
An employee was rigging prefabricated residential home deck panels on a trailer. He stepped backward and fell 9 feet off the trailer to the asphalt road. The employee sustained a blood clot on the brain and fractured ribs.
A carpenter was standing up prefabricated interior walls in a residential house under construction. A free-standing wall panel tipped over and knocked him down, landing on his right leg. The employee sustained a fractured lower right leg.
