An employee was servicing an outer diameter grinder machine. The machine had been turned on for testing. The employee attempted to slow down a belt during shutdown. The employee's finger was caught between a belt and pulley resulting in an amputation to his fingertip. The machine was not locked out/tagged out at the time of the incident.
