An employee was working on the front watering system of a roller; the employee and the equipment were off the roadway. An oncoming vehicle struck the parked truck, trailer, and roller. The employee was then struck by the equipment, resulting in a fractured pelvis and sacrum.
An employee was in a coned-off work area on a street, performing a granular turf application. While he was standing between his spreader machine and a truck, loading the spreader with bags of fertilizer, a car drove by and struck the spreader. The employee was pinned between the spreader and the truck and suffered bruises, scratches, and cuts to his legs (particularly the left knee), arms (particularly the right elbow), and left shoulder.
